HISTORIC WALKING TOUR INFORMATION

 

Every Saturday during July and August volunteers or staff of the Bayfield Historical Society lead informative and leisurely walking tours through the village. Learn about the history of Bayfield and hear the stories that have shaped this unique village. If you would like to attend, please meet at the Heritage Centre & Archives at the time of your preferred tour.

During the summer of 2017, there are 2 different guided tours being offered.

  • Main St. and Heritage Building Tour @ 1pm
    • Learn about the history of various Main St. buildings such as
      • The Little Inn
      • The Albion Hotel
      • Bayfield General Store
      • Erwin Cottages
    • Pioneer Park
    • The Hut - Bayfield’s oldest building
    • Historical Homes on Bayfield Terrace, Lousia St. and Clan Gregor Square
  • Bayfield Harbour Tour @3pm
    • Captain Ferguson’s House
    • Bayfield’s Shipwrecks
    • Harbour Development
    • Boat building in Bayfield
    • Mara St. Walkway

Tours are $5 each or $10 if you would like a copy of the Historical Walking Tour booklet included.

For your convenience, guided walking tours can also be arranged by appointment for small groups or bus tours.
